Apoorva Lal

I am an economist at Amazon, where I focus on causal inference, machine learning, and applied econometrics.

I received my PhD from the Department of Political Science at Stanford University in 2023, where I studied causal inference, machine learning, and political economy. During graduate school, I worked on data science and causal inference problems at Netflix, the Data and Evidence for Justice Reform group at the World Bank, and Atlas AI. Prior to graduate school, I worked in health economics research, and studied Economics at Williams College.
